If you were to use the internet as some sort of measuring stick, you could be forgiven for thinking that 93.5% of people in action sports history have deliberately set themselves on fire at some point in their lives. It’s almost as if the simple thrill of throwing yourself off a bridge with a parachute, or surfing a potentially bone-crushing barrel, simply isn’t enough for some people anymore.

Not wanting to miss out on the “setting yourself on fire” phenomenon, a man known as Hurricane Joaquin has recently gone street surfing…on a flooded street…wearing a cape…while on fire! Where does all this end? When does the madness stop? Are people going to start livening up tuesday morning commutes by setting themselves on fire? Will office team building paintball weekends slowly descend into petrol burning trips of despair? We’ve all gone crazy for fire. Crazy, I-tells-ya.
