Arnold Schwarzenegger occupies a strange place in the galaxy we inhabit. He was once one of the strongest men in the world, and he could probably still knock you out with one punch, but it’s hard not to lovingly laugh whenever you see him on the big screen.

We’ve all seen Arnie yelling ‘put that cookie down’ in Jingle All The Way, we’ve all yelled ‘Get to the Choppa’ when a helicopter flies past, and we’ve all watched in awe as he gets pregnant in Junior.

Whether or not the officer stated: “if you don’t start wearing a helmet, I’ll be back” before leaving Arnie to it remains a mystery…

Well, the Governator found himself in another bemusing mix up in Melbourne, Australia last week, when the police pulled him over for riding a helmet without a bike, which can result in a fine of up to $146.

We can only hope that when the authorities told Arnie to freeze, they quoted some lines from his infamous portrayal of Mr. Freeze in 1997 disaster Batman & Robin.

To be fair to the iconic strongman, it is a bit ridiculous that helmets are mandatory in Victoria, and thankfully after having a short chat with the guy, the police decided not to put him out of pocket.

Speaking after the incident, Senior Constable Gillson, helmet enforcer of Victoria, said: “I saw a group of cyclist riding ahead of me and we just went up to do a routine intercept.

“Then we noticed Arnold Schwarzenegger was in the crowd. We spoke to him briefly and had a little chat about why I pulled him over.

“He was very likeable and very approachable. He stated that his father was a policeman, so there was very much a mutual respect there.”

Sounds like Senior Constable Gillson and good old Arnie had quite the bonding experience there, doesn’t it?

Anyway, Schwarzenneger is a keen cyclist, so we have a lot of respect for that, and Terminator 2 was great, so there’s that going in his favour as well.

Whether or not Gillson stated: “if you don’t start wearing a helmet, I’ll be back” before leaving the actor-come-all-round-role-model, remains a mystery though. We’d certainly sleep well at night if we knew that he did.
