Olympus OM-D E-M10 II Mirrorless Travel Camera Review
Olympus’ OM-D EM10 Mark II camera boasts a performance that belies its very reasonable price. This and its small size make it an excellent camera for travellers who are looking for a step-up from a compact.
The standard kit lens on this offers a 35mm equivalent focal range of 28-84mm, ideal for wide angle shots and portraits, but of course the advantage of a mirrorless camera is that you can change the lenses to suit your subject.
Olympus’ M.Zuiko range of compatible lenses includes everything from a 18mm equivalent fisheye to a 80-300mm equivalent zoom.
The camera can shoot up to 8.5 frames per second, making it great for sports sequences and the ISO goes up to 25,600 so you can nail those late night party shots.
With all of that for just £550, it’s no wonder this camera features so highly in many magazine’s “best buy” lists.
Price: £550
Good for: Travel photographers who want versatility, in a small, convenient package.
Not so good for: Complete beginners.
