Sony Cybershot RX100 III Compact Travel Camera Review
Sony’s Cybershot RX100 III isn’t the newest model, but it offers a lot of bang for your buck in a pint-sized, travel-friendly package.
In fact this must be one of the highest spec cameras of this size anywhere. Like the Canon G7, it features a 1 inch sensor and an f/1.8-2.8 that’s great in low light, especially when combined with the incredible 25,600 maximum ISO.
The zoom on the lens is just 24-70mm, but the quality of the images it produces is second to none.
There’s also a pop-out electronic viewfinder so you can frame your shots with the camera to your eye as well as a fast autofocus function and a nice-feeling manual focus ring should you prefer.
Impressively given how advanced the tech is, the camera weighs just 290g with battery and memory card included, meaning it fits in your pocket easily.
Price: £600
Good for: Close-ups, wide angle photos and night time shots.
Not so good for: Students or those on a budget. £600 is quite a bit for a compact camera.
