Known as Hagia Sophia in Greek, this stunning piece of architecture has been both a Christian patriarchal basilica and imperial mosque, though it is now used as a museum.
The famous dome is guarded by four pointed towers, and inside you’ll find a collection of stunning relics and more amazing architecture. The ayasofia was the world’s largest cathedral for nearly a thousand years before the Seville Cathedral was completed in 1520. Many say it is still the most beautiful to this day.
