View of the Alhambra in Granada at twilight
A wall yes, but one that’s quite a bit more exciting that the four that hold your house up. Legend has it that the Great Wall of China was made from the grinded teeth and bones of the enemies of the Chinese State, though in reality, it was actually made out of stone, brick, tamped earth, wood, and… sticky rice! Not quite so fearsome now, eh?
Of course, the structure is an absolute sight to behold though. Built as early as the 7th century BC to fend off the Eurasian Steppe, most of the wall was formed during the Ming Dynasty. The views along “the 10,000 miles wall” are amongst the most unique on the planet.
