LEGS – Burpees
Windsurfers don’t need a lot of leg strength, but we do need a lot of stability in the muscles around the ankle, hip and knee joints. While not pleasant, Burpees are fantastic for this.
1. Begin in a standing position, with your feet shoulder width apart, then squat down and place your hands on the floor in front of you, just outside of your feet.
2. Jump both feet back, so you are now in a plank position.
3. Drop down into a push-up, making sure your chest touches the floor.
4. Push up to return to the plank position, jump your feet back in towards your hands and then explosively jump into the air, while pointing your arms straight overhead.
