“If the bee disappeared off the surface of the globe” warned celebrity geek Albert Einstein “then man would have only four years of life left.”
It was presumably with this stark warning ringing in his ears that the fella in this video, Dolph C. Volker, saved the life on a bee that was close to deaths door.
Spotting the massive bee, which he identified curiously as a European bee, Dolph noticed that the stripy bugger appeared dehydrated.
Leaping to save not only the bee, but the rest of humanity, he got some honey in his hand, picked the big bee up, and got him drinking.
Honey can revive a dehydrated bee, but like like your troubled uncle at a family Christening, a little over indulgence can leave it with somewhat wobbly legs. Lapping up its body weight in honey, the bee got a bit sozzled.
In typical fashion, a little worse-for-ware, the bee then momentarily forgot how to fly and tried to give Dolph a high five, before getting a bit angry as it flew off, presumably to the nearest kebab shop where it ordered far more food that it could possibly eat, only to spill most of it down itself while waiting for the night bus.
Stay classy, bees.
