If you’ve just ingested a big bag of acid, we recommend you tread here with caution. This hypnotic time-lapse, that showcases the first 21 days of a bee’s life, is one of the trippiest things we’ve ever seen.
It’s so trippy, in fact, that watching it just caused the entire Mpora team to trip over themselves. When you factor in that all of us were sitting down while we watched it, that remarkable scenario becomes even more impressive.
“Bees, man. Bees are strange.”
Courtesy of National Geographic (Japan), this incredible footage highlights how pinch-yourself, this-must-be-a-dream, weird nature can be. Bees, man. Bees are strange. They start out looking like tiny futons, and gradually transform into the bees we know…and love?
Our favourite moment of the video comes in at about 43 seconds (see below). Is it just us, or do the bees look like their playing some bizarre game of hive-based hide and seek?
