Here’s What Happens When You Put Safety Boots In A Hydraulic Press

These boots are made for crushing, and that's just what they'll do

You know what safety shoes are, right? They’re just like regular shoes but safer, tougher, and more likely to protect your feet if, I don’t know, a truck fell on them or, and I’m just spitballing here, your foot got trapped in the jaws of a hydraulic press.

Err… what? Hydraulic press? Safety shoes? Oh christ. Here we go. Here we go again. One more video of something getting slowly squished by a squishing machine to add to the pile of videos where things get slowly squished by a squishing machine. Yep, that’s the cut of it.

The video, from the popular Hydraulic Press Channel (who else?), compares how well different pairs of safety footwear stand up to the might of their 150 ton hydraulic press. Spoiler alert. The steel-toe safety boots put up way more of a fight than your old P.E plimsolls would have done but, in short, they’re powerless to resist the crushing strength of the heavyweight champ.
