Tony Hawk Has A New Job… And It’s Much Weirder Than You’d Expect…

Skateboarding legend hold rabbits to sell bottles

Remember Tony Hawk? You know, that dude that used to skateboard, won a zillion vert comps, did the worlds first 900 on a skateboard, and made a bunch of video games? Yeah, that Tony Hawk.

Well, he’s now taken to selling hip flasks. Kind of.

He’s part of the new Fred Water Flask campaign on crowd sourcing website Kickstarter. Fred is a flask designed to be carried easily in your pockets. You know, much like the hip flasks that old boozy journalists drink out of when deadlines are looming.

The big difference is that, although it could contain pretty much any liquid, the Fred Flask is designed to carry water. The people behind the flasks are encouraging people to drink more water, as opposed to more sugar-filled, calorific drinks.

The Bird Man isn’t the only action sports star to get on the obesity-battling bandwagon. Snowboarders Scott Stevens, Annie Boulanger and Joe Sexton have also lent their support to the cause. Unlike Hawk, none of these guys are holding a large rabbit in the name of driving sales.
