Here’s How Twitter Reacted To Everyone’s Favourite Cyclist Winning the World Champs

From bear hugs and bike love to cartoons and Cavendish...

Peter Sagan launched a brilliant late attack to win the 2015 men’s World Championship road race in Richmond, USA.

The 25-year-old fan’s favourite broke free of the rest of the pack on the final climb with 2.8km left to go, and got an inevitably rapturous reception after crossing the line

He told press after the race that it was “the biggest win” of his career so far, and it’s safe to say that the cycling community was delighted to see the Slovakian finally claim a huge win for himself. Here’s how Twitter reacted…

1) No Longer The Bridesmaid

2) The Lubomir Sagan Bear Hug

3) The Finish Line

4) The Cav Endorsement

5) Sagan Life

6) Bike Porn Throwback

7) The Evolution of Sagan

8) The Tinkoff-Saxo Plug

9) The Anti-Tinkoff-Saxo Plug

10) The Signature

…And another huge congratulations to Britain’s Lizzie Armitstead for winning the 2015 women’s world championship road race! A cracking weekend all round.
