6. Set a goal, sign up to an event
It is a lot easier to get motivated to train if you have an end goal, so pick an event that is happening in the spring (LINK TO EVENT LISTING) and sign up.
There are plenty of gentle ‘warm-up’ 5k runs and mini-events to challenge you after the winter hibernation period and better still, get some friends to sign up too. That way you can rely on each other for motivation when it’s looking really grim outside. Strength in numbers and all that.
