7. Train at home
If the weather is looking truly Biblical outside, it might be worth working on other forms of fitness and improving strength areas from the comfort and warmth of the front room.
Running technique and ability can be improved by working on a few simple exercises that don’t require braving the elements. Professional marathon trainer George Anderson says: “If the weather puts the kibosh on your running, spend a few weeks getting strong inside with a body weight strength routine. This can help with your running by improving your strength and reducing your chance of injury”.
