A skiing holiday seemed like such a good idea when it was raised by pals at a dinner party late last year – now it’s an ordeal. The First Timer resembles Bambi on ice as they teeter to the kit shop. Once fitted with skis and boots (which is an ordeal in itself) they head towards the lift.

Watching them walk in ski boots for the first time while trying to juggle skis that keep coming apart from one another and poles is like a daddy long legs involved in a car crash. Having caused a monumental pile up during their fight to the death with the chair lift they proceed to use the entirety of the slope as they attempt to master the snowplough.
