Nikon D3300 Entry-Level DSLR Travel Camera
The D3300 is a great introduction into the world of SLR cameras, offering versatility and control that most compact and mirrorless cameras can’t hope to match.
The image quality with the standard 18-55mm kit lens is good, but its once you start expanding your range of gear and buying more lenses that the D3300 really comes into its own.
It’s compatible with a vast array of lenses from both Nikon and third parties like Sigma offering you a myriad of options to suit every travel shot you’d ever need to take.
Like all DSLRs the D3300 offers full manual controls, but it also features some handy automatic functions aimed at those who are picking up a serious camera for the first time – including filter-style effects that can be added in camera.
If you’re looking to take your travel photography to the next level, the D3300 is a great place to start.
Price: £400
Good for: Versatility, image quality and ease of use.
Not so good for: People who just want to point and click – if you’re not experimenting with a DSLR you’re missing the point.
