Show us a standard LEGO brick, in isolation, and our hearts will no doubt go fuzzy with a warm nostalglic glow. In an increasingly stressful world where one huge crisis seemingly follows another in a never-ending stream of crises, that simple brick of LEGO will take us back to a time when we were young, hopeful, and our only problem in life was how to make our LEGO spaceship that tiny bit more impressive.
But LEGO, as you’ll no doubt be aware, has a darkside; an evil side, if you will. Step on a singular piece of LEGO, that’s been left on the floor, and you’ll feel a pain unlike any other. LEGO is a toy, sure, but it’s also a weapon. A weapon of mass destruction (for your feet). Seriously, we wouldn’t wish ‘walking on a LEGO piece’ on anyone; not even our worst enemy.
