Know what’s cool? Jumping off stuff and not dying. Or to be a little more specific, jumping off really high stuff, and not dying one single bit. Not even a little.
That’s what some of the most qualified parachutists in the world have been up to at Dream Jump in Dubai recently, lobbing themselves off the second highest residential structure on Earth – 400m above sea level – and having a right good time of it as well.
Seriously, this is one of the most enjoyable videos we’ve watched in a while. A total of 558 BASE jumps took place in the space of just a few days from the 99th floor of the Princess Tower in the heart of Dubai to make this short film, and it sure looks like one hell of a ride.
The Dream Jump was set up in line with Skydive Dubai and Never Before Events, and unfortunately for anyone watching who wants to give it a shot, it was only a temporary instalment. You can, of course, still ripe the epic zip-line over there though, and there’s plenty of other opportunities for skydiving in the country.
The event was part of the Dream Jump project currently touring the world and setting records as it goes, and this was the biggest instalment of the tour so far, using multiple zip-lines totalling at over 10km in length, and giving the divers one beautiful view.
Have a watch and we can guarantee you won’t be disappointed… Unless, you don’t have the funds for a trip to Dubai that is – and on that note, any donations made to Mpora HQ for the cause would be much appreciated.
