Big statement time. There isn’t a ski / snowboard bag on earth as well designed as this one. Formerly known as ‘The Douchebag’, The Djärv Snowroller (much better name, let’s be honest) combines lightweight materials, length-adjustability, and smart storage solutions in an award-winning package that’s essentially changed the way winter mountain enthusiasts get their gear from A to B.

It was developed off the back of conversations with 150 passionate skiers and snowboarders. When brought together these chats, like a complex jigsaw puzzle being finalised, revealed what the core user really wants and needs when travelling. What’s more, luggage handlers, train conductors, and airline companies were consulted on how the bag could be optimised for transportation. Did this commitment to research pay off? In short, yes. This product is a straight-up masterpiece. Put it on a plinth already.

Db The Djärv Snowroller Construction

When it comes to ski bags, the patented Rib Cage construction here is one of the most reassuring things we’ve ever come across. It works, as the name suggests, much like a human rib cage. The only, non-technical, difference being that the ‘rib cage’ here protects something far more valuable than your vital organs. Yes, we’re talking about your brand new all-mountain skis.

The Rib Cage construction consists of strong and lightweight ABS ribs, shaped in a three-stage foldable structure. The design allows for excess padding to be removed from the bags, resulting in a lighter but ultimately more protective bag exterior.

Db The Djärv Snowroller Features

We’ve hyped this bag up quite a bit so presumably it’s got some great features? Answer: Yes, yes it does. First up, shout out to the hook-up system. It’s the kind of innovation that makes you want to get up off your chair and clap like you’ve just seen a really good piece of theatre. It works by moving weight back off human shoulders and down to the wheels. The G-buckles also make it incredibly easy to connect the bag up with Db’s backpacks. Talk about functionality with a capital ‘F’.

The patented Length Adjustment System here allows you to customise the bag to fit the length of your skis / snowboards, up to 200cm; meaning it really can be a bag for all types of people and all different types of occasion. By allowing for the perfect fit, the bag can remain rigid for safe, comfortable, and user-friendly transportation.

The rigidity of the bag is not set in stone though. The Djärv Snowroller can, when not in use, be rolled up and compressed into a super portable unit. If you’ve ever had to deal with the hassle of a massive, emptied out, ski bag taking up all your space like a backseat elephant at the drive-thru then you’ll relish just how small you can make this thing when it’s not in use.

“Pretenders might come for its crown but this bag stands tall as the one to beat”

This bag, it’s worth mentioning, is also incredibly lightweight for something so impressively protective. That Rib Cage construction we mentioned earlier means that the bag is far less bulky and doesn’t need to compensate with excessive, and weighty, padding. The bag weighs just 4kg which is, we think you’ll agree, a very nice starting point to build up from. After all, your ski equipment is heavy enough already.

Finally, a quick word on the mesh pockets. Unlike some ski bags, that can turn into real ‘chuck it in, and find it later’ type affairs, The Djärv Snowroller has mesh pockets where you can store all the small objects that might be easily lost if they were just thrown into the main compartment.

All in all, this renamed classic is as good as it’s ever been. Pretenders might come for its crown but this bag stands tall as the one to beat. With everything it’s bringing to your life, and when you consider just how well it will care for your oh-so precious ski gear, the price point of this bag makes it a real steal.
