It’s not hard to find great yoga courses in London. There are a huge number of courses out there depending on which style of yoga interests you. If you are a beginner, there are plenty of six-week beginner yoga courses in London, teaching you the basics of alignment, transitions and pranayama (breath control).

Triyoga is one of the most famous yoga studios in London. They have four branches across the capital in Camden, Soho, Covent Garden and Chelsea, offering over 400 classes per week. The Life Centre was founded in 1993 to create a friendly haven for yoga, pilates and natural therapies. They have two studios in Islington and Notting Hill. Sangye Yoga School used to be called the Jivamukti Yoga School as it has been a specialist Jivamukti yoga centre since 2005. Based in Ladbroke Grove, they run 50 yoga classes per week with a range of inspiring yoga instructors plus courses in inversions and Jivamukti masterclasses. They also run their own yoga instructor training course to become a Jivamukti yoga teacher.

Bikram yoga was a movement founded by Bikram Choudhury, a famous yoga guru. Now studios have popped up all over the world. Bikram Yoga London in Canary Wharf is one of London’s top Bikram yoga studios. Many people prefer hot yoga over other fitness classes. Bikram Yoga London have a great introductory offer of £40 for the first 20 days for any of their hot yoga classes. They also run hot yoga courses in London and workshops throughout the year.
IYENGAR YOGA INSTITUTE

B.K.S. Iyengar took the world by storm with his yoga philosophy in the 1960s. The Iyengar Yoga Institute in Maida Vale is London’s main Iyengar yoga centre. Iyengar yoga is accessible to everyone, characterised by its use of props. They teach a wide schedule of Iyengar yoga classes as well as running six-week beginners yoga courses in London. They also run Iyengar yoga teacher training courses.
SIVANANDA YOGA CENTRE LONDON

Sivananda is a form of hatha yoga which aims to promote health and wellness in yogis with emphasis placed on relaxation and breathing. The Sivananda Yoga Centre in Putney offers courses for all levels of Sivananda yogis – starting with Level 1 for beginners up to Level 4 for intermediate/advanced yogis.
